Fast implementation of kernel simplex volume analysis based on modified Cholesky factorization for endmember

Jing LI,Xiao-run LI,Li-jiao WANG,Liao-ying ZHAO

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2016, Volume 17, Issue 3,   Pages 250-257 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1500244

Abstract: The kernel new simplex growing algorithm (KNSGA), recently developed as a nonlinear alternative to thesimplex growing algorithm (SGA), has proven a promising endmember extraction technique. However, KNSGA still suffers from two issues limiting its application.leads to inconsistency in final results; second, excessive computation is caused by the iterations of a simplexsignificantly reduces computational complexity, and runs faster than the original algorithm.

Removal of dyes from wastewater by growing fungal pellets in a semi-continuous mode

Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering 2017, Volume 11, Issue 3,   Pages 338-345 doi: 10.1007/s11705-017-1644-0

Abstract: To increase the efficiency of dye removal from wastewater using mycelial pellets, a bubble column reactor with a simple structure was designed and efficiently used to remove dyes from solution containing dyes. The mycelial pellets were prepared by marine fungus ZJUBE-1. Eight dyes were tested as dye targets for the adsorption capacity of mycelial pellets and good removal results were obtained. Eriochrome black T was selected as a model dye for characterizing the adsorption processes in detail. The measurement results of Zeta potential and FT-IR analysis indicate that the electrostatic attraction may play a key role in the biosorption process. The bubble column reactor was utilized to study the batch dye-removal efficiency of mycelial pellets. A re-culture process between every two batches, which was under non-sterile condition, successfully enhanced the utilization of mycelium biomass. The dye removal rate is 96.4% after 12 h in the first batch and then decreases slowly in the following batches. This semi-continuous mode, which consists of commutative processes of dye-removal and re-culture, has some outstanding advantages, such as low power consumption, easy operation, high dye removal rate, and efficient biomass utilization.

Strategic Study of CAE 2005, Volume 7, Issue 10,   Pages 38-42

Abstract:

KPCA (kernel PCA) is derived from PCA. It can extract nonlinear feature components of samples. However, feature extraction for one sample requires that kernel functions between training samples andAccording to the supposition, an improved KPCA (IKPCA) algorithm is developed.IKPCA extracts feature components of one sample efficiently, only based on kernel functions between nodes

Abstract:

Kernel texture (grain hardness) is a fundamental and determining factor related to wheat ( spp.) millingThere are three kernel texture classes in wheat: soft and hard hexaploid ( ), and very hard durum ( subspPhenotypically, the easiest means of quantifying kernel texture is with the Single Kernel CharacterizationSoft kernel durum wheat was created via homeologous recombination using the mutation, which facilitatedExpression of the puroindoline genes in durum grain resulted in kernel texture and flour milling characteristics
